Zimmerit was applied until September 1944
Ausf. G1 Early (1944 model) - smaller welded main gun mantlet, one piece Pak 43/3 gun, using modified Panther Ausf. A engine deck, two vision openings for the driver.
Ausf. G1 Late - 'hybrid' of Ausf. G1 Early & Ausf. G2.
Ausf. G2 - using Panther Ausf. G engine deck, larger gun mantlet bolted externally, two piece KwK 43/4 L/71 gun, one vision opening for the driver.
