Battle of Wake Island [8~10 December 1941]
[29 December 1941[ - rescued all crewmen of the submarine Ro-60.
[14 July ~ 7 November 1942] - based in Rabaul.
[1 January 1944] - based at Kure.
[summer of 1944] - main guns were replaced with 18 Type 96 25-mm antiaircraft guns.
[11 August 1944] - transport for supplies and reinforcements to Okinawa.
[19 September 1944] - on her 4th mission to Okinawa, Jingei was torpedoed near Naha by USS Scabbardfish.
[10 October 1944] - the immobile Jingei was attacked by Allied aircraft from USS Hancock and sank.
