Kangaroos was created converting a tank chassis "in the field" by the Canadian Army, and were used by British and Commonwealth forces.
Priest Kangaroos were converted from M7 Priest self-propelled guns, removing the 105mm guns and ammunition stowage, usually can carry 8 to 12 soldiers.
Priest Kangaroos were first used on 8 August 1944 south of Caen during Operation Totalize
