  • Commissioned: 15 November 1932
  • Battle of Hong Kong [8~25 Dec 1941] - Inazuma provided cover for landing operations, assisting the cruiser Isuzu in sinking British gunboats HMS Cicala & HMS Robin
  • Battle of Manado [11~12 Jan 1942] - Japanese offensive to capture the Dutch East Indies
  • Second Battle of the Java Sea [1 Mar 1942] - Inazuma assisted in the sinking of British destroyer HMS Encounter & cruiser HMS Exeter (Inazuma rescued survivors from HMS Exeter & destroyer USS Pope)
  • [Apr 1942] -  repairs at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal
  • Aleutian Islands campaign [3 Jun 1942 ~ 15 Aug 1943]
  • Naval Battle of Guadalcanal [12~15 Nov 1942] - Inazuma assisted in sinking American destroyers USS Benham, USS WalkeUSS Preston and damaging USS Gwin
  • [mid-Jan 1943] - retrofit at Kure
  • [14 May 1944] - Inazuma was torpedoed and sunk by USS Bonefish. Survivors were rescued by sister ship Hibiki (響)

  • Aug 1944, Hibiki was torpedoed by submarine USS Hake --> repair at Yokosuka
  • 1945 Hibiki retained in Japanese home waters
Hibiki was turned over to the Soviet Union on 5 April 1947 as a prize of war, And was sunk in 1970s as target-practice.
