- Second Battle of the Java Sea [1 Mar 1942] - Inazuma assisted in the sinking of British destroyer HMS Encounter & cruiser HMS Exeter (Inazuma rescued survivors from HMS Exeter & destroyer USS Pope)
- [Apr 1942] - repairs at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal
- Aleutian Islands campaign [3 Jun 1942 ~ 15 Aug 1943]
- Naval Battle of Guadalcanal [12~15 Nov 1942] - Inazuma assisted in sinking American destroyers USS Benham, USS Walke & USS Preston and damaging USS Gwin
- [mid-Jan 1943] - retrofit at Kure
- [14 May 1944] - Inazuma was torpedoed and sunk by USS Bonefish. Survivors were rescued by sister ship Hibiki (響)

- on 14 May 1944, Hibiki rescued the 125 survivors of her torpedoed sister ship Inazuma (電)
- Battle of the Philippine Sea [19~20 Jun 1944]
- Aug 1944, Hibiki was torpedoed by submarine USS Hake --> repair at Yokosuka
- 1945 - Hibiki retained in Japanese home waters
Hibiki was turned over to the Soviet Union on 5 April 1947 as a prize of war, And was sunk in 1970s as target-practice.
